Standard Sea Terrace cabins have approximately 50 square feet of outdoor space, Central Sea Terraces offer similar sizing but in a mid-ship location, and XL Sea Terraces provide about 75-100 square feet. All terraces include the signature hand-woven red hammock and seating area.
The hand-woven hammocks are surprisingly sturdy and comfortable for lounging, though some sailors find them tricky to get in and out of initially. They're weight-tested up to 300 pounds and are perfect for afternoon naps or reading. If hammocks aren't your thing, there's also regular seating available.
Central Sea Terrace cabins are located mid-ship (decks 10-12), which means less motion and easier access to elevators and main venues. Regular Sea Terraces can be forward or aft. The cabin size and amenities are identical - you're paying more for the prime location.
While the terrace is private and you technically could doze in the hammock, it's not designed for overnight sleeping. There's no protection from weather, and ship security does monitor balconies for safety. The terraces are best enjoyed for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or afternoon relaxation.
