Sea View cabins feature a large circular window (porthole) with a built-in seating nook beneath it. The window doesn't open but provides natural light and ocean views throughout your voyage. It's significantly larger than traditional cruise ship portholes.
Beyond the obvious ocean views, Sea View cabins are slightly larger (around 160-180 square feet) and include the nautically-inspired window seat that provides extra seating and storage. The natural light also helps maintain your sleep cycle better than interior cabins.
In most Sea View cabins, you can see out the window from the bed when it's configured as a queen. The window is positioned at seated eye level, so you'll have the best views from the built-in window seat or when standing.
If natural light and checking sea conditions matter to you, yes. The price difference is typically $200-400 per cabin for a week cruise. Many sailors find waking up to natural light and having ocean views while getting ready makes the experience more enjoyable, especially on longer voyages.
