Virgin Voyages has built one of the most talked-about dining experiences at sea — and the Virgin Voyages restaurants list is a big reason why. There are no buffets, no main dining rooms, and no upcharges at most restaurants. Instead, every Lady Ship offers 20+ eateries ranging from Korean BBQ with tableside grills to a multi-course tasting-menu “laboratory.” Every sit-down specialty restaurant is included in your fare. And the variety is genuinely staggering for a ship this size.
This guide covers every dining venue across the fleet — what each restaurant serves, which ships it’s on, whether you need a reservation, and what’s different between Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady. Whether you’re planning your first voyage or your fifth, this is your single reference for everything you can eat onboard.
Every Lady Ship shares the same core lineup of six sit-down dinner restaurants. All are included in your fare, all serve dinner roughly 5:45 PM–10:00 PM (hours vary by sailing), and all accept reservations through the Virgin Voyages app. The one exception to this uniform lineup is the Razzle Dazzle space — more on that below.
A modern steakhouse with sweeping views of the ship’s wake from the aft. The Wake serves steak, seafood, and a raw bar — plus one of the best brunches onboard (typically 8:00 AM–1:00 PM). The menu may include optional upcharge items like an aged tomahawk steak and select raw bar platters, clearly priced on the menu. Dinner reservations recommended. Brunch is reservable and typically doesn’t count toward your dinner reservation limits.
Italian trattoria energy — fresh pasta, antipasti, and a dedicated wine bar adjacent to the dining room. Extra Virgin is one of the most popular restaurants on every sailing, and the wine bar is walk-in (no reservation needed). Dinner reservations recommended.
Mexican-inspired share plates with a serious tequila and mezcal program. Pink Agave draws from Mexico City street-food culture and is one of the smallest specialty restaurants onboard — which makes it one of the hardest to book. Dinner reservations are essential here. After hours, look for “Pink Agave After Dark,” a nightlife activation that turns the space into a late-night scene.
Korean BBQ with communal seating, tableside grills, and optional drinking games. Gunbae is interactive, loud, and unlike anything else at sea. If your party is five or fewer, expect to be seated with other Sailors — that’s by design and part of the fun. Another small venue, so book early. Dinner reservations recommended.
A fixed multi-course tasting menu presented as an ingredient list rather than a traditional menu. The Test Kitchen has a lab-inspired aesthetic and rotates between different menus (typically A and C, with Menu B appearing on select longer voyages). This is the most experimental dining experience on any Lady Ship. Dinner reservations recommended.
This is where the fleet diverges. Every ship has the same Deck 5 restaurant space that serves brunch by day (typically 8:00 AM–1:00 PM) and a themed dinner concept by night. But the dinner identity depends on which ship you’re sailing:
All three concepts share the same brunch service during the day. Brunch reservations are available and typically don’t count toward dinner limits. Dinner reservations recommended for all three.
This table covers all six specialty restaurants. For casual and quick-service venues, see the sections below.
| Restaurant | Cuisine | Ships | Reservation? |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Wake | Steak & seafood + brunch | All four | Dinner: yes / Brunch: reservable |
| Extra Virgin | Italian trattoria | All four | Yes (wine bar is walk-in) |
| Pink Agave | Mexican share plates | All four | Yes — book early |
| Gunbae | Korean BBQ (communal) | All four | Yes — book early |
| The Test Kitchen | Multi-course tasting menu | All four | Yes |
| Razzle Dazzle / Lucky Lotus / Rojo | Varies by ship (see above) | All four (concept varies) | Dinner: yes / Brunch: reservable |
There’s no buffet on any Lady Ship. Instead, The Galley on Deck 15 operates as a food hall with roughly a dozen stations, mixing counter ordering with flagged table service. Stations often include Hot off the Press, Noodle Around, Let’s Taco Bout It, Bento Baby, Diner & Dash, Burger Bar, Well Bread, Daily Mix (soup and salad), Sweet Side, Feta Late Than Hungry (select days), and more. On some sailings, updates have added a rotating “Menu B” alongside the standard Menu A rotation, meaning even repeat Sailors will find new dishes.
Core hours typically run breakfast 6:30 AM–11:00 AM, lunch noon–3:00 PM, and dinner 5:00 PM–10:00 PM (hours vary by sailing). But The Galley rarely truly closes — Diner & Dash typically runs 24/7, and Burger Bar often stays open until 2:00 AM. No reservation needed at any time.
A common first-timer confusion: the sit-down specialty restaurants generally don’t serve lunch. Midday dining is primarily The Galley and the casual quick-service spots listed below. A dedicated Galley food tour article is coming soon from Serious Sailors™ with station-by-station detail.
Beyond the specialty restaurants and The Galley, every Lady Ship has a collection of smaller venues scattered around the ship. None require reservations. All are included in the fare.
Mediterranean-style grazing — mezze carts, skewers, and small plates. The Dock House is the indoor lounge; The Dock is its outdoor counterpart. Both run the same food concept with tapas-style service, generally afternoon through mid-evening. Look for “Opa Hour” typically daily from 3:30 PM–5:30 PM. On all four ships.
Baked-to-order pizza, commonly open until around 2:00 AM. Hours vary by sailing — community reports note it occasionally closes during a dinner-time block and reopens later, so don’t count on it as a guaranteed fallback if you skip a dinner reservation. On all four ships.
Fairground-style diner snacks — hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, candy. Boozy shakes are available for an extra charge. Usually open noon to midnight. On all four ships.
Hawaiian-Asian fusion quick bites — poke bowls, bao buns, and light plates. Typically open on sea days from noon–5:00 PM (hours vary). On all four ships.
House-made ice cream with vegan options. Typically 11:00 AM–10:00 PM (hours vary). On all four ships. The name is quintessentially Virgin Voyages.
Grounds Club is the main coffee bar with baked treats — specialty coffee drinks are paid (covered by a Bar Tab if you have one). Grounds Club Too lives inside The Galley and on some ships transforms into a cocktail bar at night, staying open until around 11:00 PM. On all four ships.
ShipEats is Virgin Voyages’ 24-hour room service, ordered through the app. There’s a $10 delivery fee per order — but it’s waived if your food order totals $10+ or if you’re staying in RockStar Quarters. A dedicated ShipEats guide is in the works from Serious Sailors™.
All six specialty restaurants accept dinner reservations through the Virgin Voyages app, and booking in advance is strongly recommended — especially for smaller venues like Pink Agave and Gunbae. Your reservation window depends on your fare tier (for bookings made on or after October 7, 2025):
Reservations often go live around midnight Miami time, but timing can vary. You can hold one dinner reservation per night, and the number of times you can book the same restaurant typically depends on voyage length — once on 1–5 night sailings, twice on 6–8 nights, three times on 9+ night voyages. Brunch reservations typically don’t count toward these dinner limits.
Pro Tip: Not all slots are released before your voyage. More availability opens once you’re onboard — check the app repeatedly for cancellations and newly released times, especially on embarkation day.
For a full breakdown of booking windows, timing strategy, and how to secure hard-to-get reservations, see our complete guide on how to book restaurants on Virgin Voyages.
Some specialty restaurants may offer a “Sip & Savor” option — a curated set of drink-and-food pairings designed to complement the menu. Pricing and availability vary by venue and sailing. These pairings are charged to your onboard account.
The core dining lineup — The Wake, Extra Virgin, Pink Agave, Gunbae, The Test Kitchen, The Galley, and all casual spots — is identical across all four Lady Ships. The only meaningful difference is the Razzle Dazzle dinner concept: Razzle Dazzle on Valiant and Resilient, Lucky Lotus on Scarlet, and Rojo on Brilliant Lady. If you’re booking specifically for a dining experience, the Razzle Dazzle variant is the one to check.
No. Virgin Voyages limits you to one dinner reservation per night. If you want to try a second restaurant, you’d need to cancel your existing reservation first or walk in and hope for availability.
Yes. The Galley typically opens early on disembarkation morning. Check the app for exact hours on your sailing, as they can shift based on port arrival time.
Contact Sailor Services before your voyage. Group dining requests can be submitted once your group is paid in full at 120 days out, and requests are reviewed between 50–46 days before sailing. Groups are limited to one group dinner reservation per voyage.
Yes — all six specialty restaurants and every casual dining venue are included. The only extra charges come from clearly marked “Treat Yourself” premium items (like aged steaks or raw bar upgrades), Sip & Savor drink pairings, and specialty coffee drinks.
The Virgin Voyages restaurants list is one of the strongest reasons to choose this line — 20+ included dining venues with genuine variety, no buffet in sight, and ship-specific dinner concepts that reward repeat Sailors with something new each time. Book your specialty restaurant reservations as early as your fare tier allows, prioritize the smaller venues first, and lean on The Galley for everything in between.
