SERIOUS SAILORS SCORE 3.9
Serious Sailors Score
Solid pick
Motion Fair Noise Excellent Location Very Good
Motion — Fair

Motion on a ship is felt most strongly at the bow and on the upper decks, and it settles toward the middle and lower decks. Cabin 10350A sits forward on Deck 10, toward the bow where the hull meets wave action first. Even so, it lands mid-pack on our motion scale — in part because of a bit more pitching at the forward end — and you will feel the ship working in moderate seas. Sailors prone to seasickness will be steadier mid-ship and a deck or two lower.

Noise — Excellent

How quiet a cabin feels comes down to what surrounds it — the nearest venues, the busiest elevator banks, and whatever sits directly above or below. Cabin 10350A sits forward on Deck 10, at the quiet front of the ship and away from the main evening venues. It earns a top noise score, and most sailors will find it genuinely quiet day and night.

Location — Very Good

Location really comes down to how far you are from the places you use most — the main dining rooms, the pool deck, and the gangway on port days. Cabin 10350A sits forward on Deck 10, with quick access to the forward elevators. Keeping the forward venues close at hand is what earns it a strong location score. The main trade-off is sitting beside an elevator bank, with some passing foot traffic, plus a longer haul to the aft pool and dining, but for sailors happy to base themselves forward it is an easy one to accept.

The cabin

The cabin, told straight.

The XL Sea Terrace is one of Virgin's most-booked cabins. Cabin 10350A delivers it from a forward, port side position on Deck 10.

The XL Sea Terrace gives you suite-style space without the suite price. A larger-than-standard private terrace and roomy interior deliver true indoor/outdoor living: flexible sleeping for couples or families, generous storage, a marble bathroom with premium fixtures, and lounge-ready terrace seating with ocean views. Ideal for Sailors who want outdoor space and extra room.

“We rate every cabin the way we'd brief a friend — motion, noise and location first, marketing never. Cabin 10350A earns its 3.9.”
— The Serious Sailors crew

About the cabin number itself: the letter at the end of every XL Sea Terrace tells you which side of the ship you're on. A-suffixed cabins sit on the port side (left, facing forward); Z-suffixed cabins sit on the starboard side (right). Cabin 10350A ends in A, so it’s a port-side cabin — its mirror twin 10350Z is the identical layout on starboard.

What makes 10350A specific is its placement. Forward means a little more pitch in a swell, but quieter corridors. Deck 10 sets your elevator distance to dining and the pool deck. the "A" suffix puts you on the port side (left, facing forward). Notably, it rides a touch livelier than midship when the sea is up, being well forward. Prefer to compare the whole category? See every XL Sea Terrace cabin →

How the bed sits.

The foot of the bed in cabin 10350A points toward the bow, which means you wake up looking out toward the ocean ahead of the ship rather than back into the room. Since cabin 10350A's bed is positioned nearer the cabin door, the terrace-side floor stays clearer, which makes it easier to get in and out on that side and to wheel a suitcase through without climbing over the mattress. If you would rather have two separate beds, the queen converts to twins for free; flag it before sailing.
