SERIOUS SAILORS SCORE 3.9
Serious Sailors Score
Solid pick
Motion Fair Noise Excellent Location Very Good
Motion — Fair

Motion on a ship is felt most strongly at the bow and on the upper decks, and it settles toward the middle and lower decks. Cabin 11038A sits aft on Deck 11, toward the stern, which generally rides easier than the forward end. Even so, it lands mid-pack on our motion scale, and you will feel the ship working in moderate seas. Sailors prone to seasickness will be steadier mid-ship and a deck or two lower.

Noise — Excellent

How quiet a cabin feels comes down to what surrounds it — the nearest venues, the busiest elevator banks, and whatever sits directly above or below. Cabin 11038A sits at the aft end of Deck 11, well clear of the ship's late-night venues and the busy mid-ship elevators. It earns a top noise score, and most sailors will find it genuinely quiet day and night.

Location — Very Good

Location really comes down to how far you are from the places you use most — the main dining rooms, the pool deck, and the gangway on port days. Cabin 11038A sits at the aft end of Deck 11, with easy access to the aft elevators. Keeping the back-of-ship venues close at hand is what earns it a strong location score. Just about everywhere aboard stays within a comfortable walk.

What we love

“We rate every cabin the way we'd brief a friend — motion, noise and location first, marketing never. Cabin 11038A earns its 3.9.”
— The Serious Sailors crew

About the cabin number itself: the letter at the end of every Sea Terrace tells you which side of the ship you're on. A-suffixed cabins sit on the port side (left, facing forward); Z-suffixed cabins sit on the starboard side (right). Cabin 11038A ends in A, so it’s a port-side cabin — its mirror twin 11038Z is the identical layout on starboard.

What makes 11038A specific is its placement. Aft puts you near the wake views, with the occasional gentle engine hum on lower decks. Deck 11 sets your elevator distance to dining and the pool deck. the "A" suffix puts you on the port side (left, facing forward). Prefer to compare the whole category? See every Sea Terrace cabin →
