No. We book the same cabin across both sailings, so nothing is packed, moved or re-made. Turnaround day is simply a port day you spend however you like — ashore, or on a ship that is briefly almost empty.

Two. Virgin sells each sailing separately and there is no single package code for the pair, so you get two confirmations — and, because they are two bookings, two sets of perks. We handle the pairing and the cabin match; you only ever deal with us once.

Sometimes, and never the whole route. We pair sailings whose itineraries differ, so the second half is not a rerun of the first, though the headline stops can come round again — a second day in Santorini or Mykonos is rarely a hardship. Open any Epic Voyage and the day-by-day lists both halves as one continuous route, turnaround day included.

Because Virgin does not sell one. These itineraries exist only as separate weeks, and taking both is the only way to get the long version — with the Bar Tab and Sailor Loot each sailing earns, where a single cruise of the same length would earn them once.

It depends on the Epic Voyage. One that starts and ends in the same port needs only an ordinary return ticket. One that runs one way — out of Athens and into San Juan, say — needs an open-jaw ticket, in at one end and home from the other, which is usually no dearer than a return. Each itinerary shows where it begins and ends, and we will tell you which end to book first.

Yes. A deposit holds the cabin and the fare on both sailings under Virgin's standard terms, and deposits are refundable within those terms. Holding is how you stop someone else taking the cabin location you wanted.

Tell us, or we will spot it — if the published fare drops below what you paid before your final payment date, we re-price the booking. On an Epic Voyage that applies to each of the two sailings independently.
