Miami · San Juan · The Panama Canal · Barcelona · Los Angeles

Panama + TransatlanticStraight to the point.

Nine long-haul voyages — the ocean crossings and the canal runs, in one place. Every one on an Exclusive Serious Deal, but each deal holds only a finite block of cabins — when the cabins are gone, the deal is gone.

Mar 26 – Apr 11, 2027

Brilliant Lady · 3 consecutive days at sea

Cartagena's walled city, a night in Colón, and then the day everyone comes for — six hours climbing the Gatun locks, across the spine of a continent, and down into the Pacific. Costa Rica and Guatemala follow, then the long warm run up to Los Angeles.

$640 better deal

Apr 24 – May 8, 2027

Scarlet Lady · 8 consecutive days at sea

Eight straight days at sea before land comes back as the Canaries. Then Casablanca, an evening in Valencia, and off in Barcelona. The classic spring crossing, run west to east.

$676 better deal

May 2–16, 2027

Resilient Lady · 8 consecutive days at sea

The same spring crossing a week later on Resilient Lady, but it lands you in southern Spain first — Tenerife, Tangier and Málaga back to back before Barcelona.

$1,201 better deal

Oct 24 – Nov 7, 2027

Resilient Lady · 8 consecutive days at sea

Mallorca, Madeira and Tenerife in the opening week, then eight days west with nothing but Atlantic — Halloween itself is spent mid-ocean. The deepest discount of the six.

$492 better deal

Oct 31 – Nov 12, 2027

Scarlet Lady · 7 consecutive days at sea

Leaves Barcelona on Halloween night, calls at Tangier and Lanzarote, then runs seven days west to San Juan. The shortest way across, and the cheapest.

$1,300 better deal

Nov 27 – Dec 14, 2027

Brilliant Lady · 3 consecutive days at sea

Run the other way: Cabo, Guatemala and Costa Rica first, so you reach the locks on day thirteen already deep into the trip. Seventeen nights, the biggest bonus Bar Tab of the three, and Cartagena as the last port before home.

Feb 21 – Mar 8, 2028

Brilliant Lady · 3 consecutive days at sea

The February crossing, and the only one that stacks Cabo San Lucas onto the back end — you transit the canal on day six, work up the Pacific coast through Costa Rica and Guatemala, then swing into Cabo before Los Angeles.

$764 better deal

Apr 16–30, 2028

Valiant Lady · 7 consecutive days at sea

The only crossing here that calls at the Azores. Ponta Delgada, Funchal and Tangier step you across the ocean — three Atlantic islands most itineraries never touch.

$663 better deal

Apr 22 – May 4, 2028

Scarlet Lady · 6 consecutive days at sea

Starts in San Juan with a St. Maarten beach day, then six days of open ocean to Madeira and Tangier. Twelve nights, and the lowest per-cabin fare on the page.

Frequently asked questions

A ship has to move between seasons — out of the Caribbean and into the Mediterranean, or from the Atlantic round to the Pacific. Rather than sail it empty, Virgin sells the crossing. That is why these are the longest sailings on the calendar and the lowest per-night fares Virgin runs.

We hold a block of cabins on a sailing at a fare we have negotiated with Virgin, and we pass it on. It is the same ship, the same cabin category and the same inclusions as any other booking — the only thing that changes is the number, and the bonus Bar Tab we attach to it.

Yes. The struck-through figure on each card is Virgin's own published Essential fare for that exact cabin, pulled live from our pricing sync — not a made-up "was" price. Where there is no strikethrough, Virgin is not currently selling that cabin at a comparable fare.

They do. Each one holds a finite block of cabins for a limited time, so a deal can disappear because the block sold through or because the hold expired. That is the honest reason to move on one you like rather than watch it.

It runs most of the day and the ship is built for watching it — you go up three chambers at Gatun, cross the lake, thread the Culebra Cut where they blasted through the continental divide, then step back down to the Pacific. People are on deck from dawn. It is the rare sea day nobody sleeps through.

Less than you fear and more than you expect. The ship keeps its full run of restaurants, shows, classes and nightlife, and a repositioning crowd tends to use them properly because nobody is up at 6am for an excursion. If you want a week where the plan is the ship, this is the sailing that gives it to you.

You fly one direction and sail the other, so you want an open-jaw ticket — in at one end, home from the other. It is usually no more expensive than a return, and we will tell you which end to book first.

Yes. A deposit holds the cabin and the fare under Virgin's standard terms, and deposits are refundable within those terms. Holding is how you stop someone else taking the cabin location you wanted.

Itineraries, ports and times are as published by Virgin Voyages and are subject to change. Exclusive Serious Deals are per cabin at double occupancy, subject to availability, and hold a limited block of cabins — a deal can be withdrawn at any time and is only held once a booking is confirmed and deposited. Comparison fares are Virgin's published Essential fare for the same cabin at the time this page was rendered. “Better deal” is that fare less our fare for the same cabin, plus the bonus Bar Tab and Sailor Loot attached to the booking, taking whichever of Sea Terrace or Central Sea Terrace is larger.
