SERIOUS SAILORS SCORE 4.2
Serious Sailors Score
Excellent pick
Motion Good Noise Excellent Location Very Good
Motion — Good

Motion on a ship is felt most strongly at the bow and on the upper decks, and it settles toward the middle and lower decks. Cabin 9062Z sits aft on Deck 9, toward the stern, which generally rides easier than the forward end. That keeps it comfortable on most itineraries, with real motion only when the seas pick up.

Noise — Excellent

How quiet a cabin feels comes down to what surrounds it — the nearest venues, the busiest elevator banks, and whatever sits directly above or below. Cabin 9062Z sits at the aft end of Deck 9, well clear of the ship's late-night venues and the busy mid-ship elevators. It earns a top noise score, and most sailors will find it genuinely quiet day and night.

Location — Very Good

Location really comes down to how far you are from the places you use most — the main dining rooms, the pool deck, and the gangway on port days. Cabin 9062Z sits at the aft end of Deck 9, with a short walk to the aft elevators. Keeping the back-of-ship venues close at hand is what earns it a strong location score. Just about everywhere aboard stays within a comfortable walk.

The cabin

The cabin, told straight.

The Sea Terrace is one of Virgin's most-booked cabins. Cabin 9062Z delivers it from an aft, starboard side position on Deck 9.

Virgin's most popular cabin delivers the sweet spot of space, style, and those addictive ocean breezes. The Sea Terrace pairs a private outdoor terrace with bright, thoughtfully designed interiors — perfect for Sailors who want fresh-air mornings and cozy evenings. Enjoy a comfortable queen bed (or convertible twin layout), lounge-ready seating, a marble bath with premium fixtures, USB charging and complimentary Wi-Fi. Ideal for guests who want a true indoor/outdoor cabin experience without upgrading to a suite.

“We rate every cabin the way we'd brief a friend — motion, noise and location first, marketing never. Cabin 9062Z earns its 4.2.”
— The Serious Sailors crew

About the cabin number itself: the letter at the end of every Sea Terrace tells you which side of the ship you're on. A-suffixed cabins sit on the port side (left, facing forward); Z-suffixed cabins sit on the starboard side (right). Cabin 9062Z ends in Z, so it’s a starboard-side cabin — its mirror twin 9062A is the identical layout on port.

What makes 9062Z specific is its placement. Aft puts you near the wake views, with the occasional gentle engine hum on lower decks. Deck 9 sets your elevator distance to dining and the pool deck. the "Z" suffix puts you on the starboard side (right, facing forward). Prefer to compare the whole category? Cabin 9062Z's bed runs aft-to-forward, feet toward the bow — you open your eyes facing out toward the ocean ahead of the ship. The bed is set toward the terrace, so most of the open walking room falls on the cabin-door side — handy for dressing, storing bags, or slipping past without waking a sleeping partner. For a third guest, cabin 9062Z adds a Pullman — Virgin's term for a wall-mounted bunk that folds down at night and stows flat by day. The 1 Queen layout converts to 2 Twins at no extra cost — ask for the configuration when you book.
