Bryggen

This is the iconic, UNESCO-listed Hanseatic Wharf, the oldest part of Bergen. Walk the narrow, creaking wooden alleyways. between the colorful, leaning buildings to explore artisan shops, galleries, and museums.

Bergen Fish Market (Fisketorget)

Experience the lively heart of the harbor at this historic, open-air market. It's a fantastic (if. touristy) spot to sample fresh-boiled shrimp, smoked salmon, and even whale meat.

KODE Art Museums and Composer Homes

This is one of Scandinavias largest museums for art, design, and music. It's a complex of four buildings. most famous for its extensive collection of works by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.

Fantoft Stave Church

A short ride from the city, this is a stunning, reconstructed 12th-century stave church. It's intricate dragon-style wood. carvings and dark-tarred exterior are a beautiful example of medieval Scandinavian architecture.

Old Bergen Museum (Gamle Bergen)

This open-air museum is a charming, reconstructed 19th-century town. Wander among the 50 historic wooden houses. meet costumed actors, and see what life was like in Bergens past.

Floibanen Funicular

This is a must-do. Take the 8-minute funicular railway from the city center straight to the top of Floyen Mountain. (1,050 ft). The panoramic view of the city, mountains, and fjords is absolutely unforgettable.
