Overview

Mykonos is the superstar of the Cyclades, a glamorous, sun-drenched island that knows how to have a good time. The main event is Chora (Mykonos Town), a dazzling, car-free labyrinth of whitewashed alleys, high-end boutiques, and bougainvillea-covered balconies. Get lost in its maze, find the iconic 16th-century windmills on the hill, and have a cocktail in Little Venice as the waves crash just feet away. But the islands fame was built on its beaches. Head to Super Paradise or Psarou for the legendary, DJ-driven beach club scene. Or, for a dose of history, take a 30-minute boat trip to the sacred, uninhabited island of Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece.
